Welcome to my homepage. You can simply call me Dilxat (or XiaTi)

I am currently at the second year of my M.S. journey under the guidance of Xueliang Zhang and Pengfeng Xiao. I am currently also a research intern at Microsoft, where I cooperate with Yaming Yang and Yelong Shen. Before that, I received the B.S degress from Nanjing University in 2022.

I am excited for building AI for our world and aspire to contribute to AI evolution. My long-term research interest is centered on understanding how machines can learn about the world in ways similar to humans. In this direction, my work primarily focuses on self-supervised learning, efficient models, multimodal alignment, and AI for Earth Observation:

• Self-Supervised Learning: Humans acquire knowledge hrough demonstrations or the signals naturally present in our environment, a concept often described as ‘learning to learn.’ I concentrate on leveraging self-supervised learning methods for effective representation learning.

• Efficient Models: Humans link new knowledge with existing knowledge and can reason or learn new information through minimal cognitive effort. In this field, I am tring to develop efficient architecture design and parameter efficient fine-tuning method.

• Multimodal Alignment: Humans comprehend the world by integrating signals from various modalities into a unified cognitive framework, thereby connecting different senses and modalities. My research aims to devise methods for effective multimodal alignment, which could lead to a more robust ‘world model.’

• AI for Earth Observation: I am deeply fascinated with the natural wonders of our Earth and equally interested in artificial intelligence. I am willing to guide AI, much like nurturing a child, to comprehend the beauty of our world. Thus, I am dedicated to harnessing AI to perceive, identify, and understand our nature, and to fervently protect it

• I love travelling and literary, to experience both the beauty and wonders of nature, as well as the wisdom of humanity. My favourite city is Prague and my favourite book is 《Jerusalem: The Biography》.
• I also love music and boxing, both of which provide me with a sense of relief and help me unwind.
• My favorite food is pumpkin 🎃.
